Hawaii - Japanese Alliance consequences

What if the Union had not burnt up the south, how would this affect hawaii and the world?

Hawaii is far more than sugar can, it's a naval harbour of importance for the pacific.
It's unlikely that USA let others countries, critically UK, having a naval base here.

The Bayonet Constitution had nothing to do with the US getting the use of Pearl Harbor, that was the Reciprocity Treaty that was earlier. The Bayonet Constitution effectively rendered the Hawaiian King, Kalakaua, a figure head.

It is highly unlikely that there would have been any Hawaii-Japanese Alliance.

im not gonn actually write anything for it
just want your facts so that i can learn

basically what if the mission boys had not tried that bayonet constitution, which ended up ceding pearl harbor to he Union, which happened because the civil war burnt up all the sugar cane in the south.

Also we may as well title it what if the union had not used scorched earth on the seceded states (it was two things at stake here: the right to secede, and the right to slavery)
what would have been the consequences of the possible alliance if the union had not burnt up all the crops cities etc.

quote: War is Hell

the Bayonet Constitution has nothing to do with Pearl Harbor.
It was to strip more of the King's executive power and deny the votes to Asians, while allowing Foreigners to vote.

I also don't see how less Scorched Earth tactics are going to lead to Kalakaua's plan succeeding, or some alternate method of establishing a Japanese-Hawaii treaty.
