Hashemite Arabia, and Jordan?

Hello all

Need a little help with Mideast history, which is not one of my strong points I'm afraid!

Now in OTL the Hashemites attempted but failed to rule Arabia and Syria, and were thus compensated
with Jordan and Iraq!

Now my question: If they were able to successfully take control of Arabia (Saud's suffer an early tragedy/fall or something) but they still fail to keep Syria, what would become of Jordan?

I'm fairly convinced Iraq would still be made a Hashemite kingdom, even if they already had all of Arabia, as the British likely would've wanted someone else saddled with the hassle of managing such a diverse and potentially unstable country.

However what would become of Jordan? Continued British mandate resulting in some other monarchy (such as Egypt) or an Arab republic ala Syria and Lebanon? Absorbed by Syria? Absorbed by a Hashemite Arabia?

As i've said I can see Syria and Iraq going largely the same route with some changes here and their (Iraq possibly remains a monarchy, or at least is one for longer), however what happens to Jordan?

Would really appreciate any feedback!

Supplemental:
Or does the entire Levant get swallowed by a more powerful Hashemite dynasty, resulting in a united Arab state? I know that was more-or-less the plan of the Hashemites and Pan-Arabists but I'm not entirely convinced it would've happened due to the European powers stepping in!

Someone wold need to back up the Hashemites' claim. The other two big pwoer players, the Rishidi and the Sauds had support from the outside and it was British support that led to the Saus controlling Arabia. For the Hashemites to do so, they'd need to appeal to another power. Only viable option I can see could be the USA and that would require a pretty good deal on oil for them. Not to mention if they spun the Arab Revolt in a similar way the US revolted against the British.

Whether the Levant would be taken in would depend on how everything would be divided. Iraw's problem was the fact that it could be considered two nations between the Shia and Sunni populations. Make two seperate nations from it and you have ost rpoblems solve. Divide into three when you take the Kurds into the account and that helps more.

Shia Iraq could be fused Iran to placate the population there while Kurdish Iraq either fuses with Anatolia or they form a Kurdish state from it. It all depends on if the Europeans do a better job of dividing the palce up.

Sunni Iraq could either remain by its lonesome or maybe fuse with Syria, Jordan and Lebanon. They could probably be overseen by the French and maybe have a republic.

It's hard to be sure.

both Jordan and Iraq were made into a Hashemite monarchies in 1921

You could have Hussein sign the Anglo-Hashemite Treaty

Sunni - Shia tension only came about due to the Iranian revolution and the back to faith campaign by Saddam

Shia Iraq could be fused Iran to placate the population there
Given the area hasn't been a part of the Iran in centuries , You could see an Arab revolt against Iran
