Harvey Milk Isn't Assassinated

Not sure how to prevent this, but perhaps the guy who came to shoot him was intersepted by someone who stopped him somehow.

The main point though is that both Harvey Milk and the Mayer survive. Would this have significantly changed the Gay Rights movement? Would perhaps San Francisco have become more left wing in the long run(even more so, not sure how left or right the city as a whole is.) Very curious about this one.

If i had to venture a guess, very little would change long run. Milk's death turned him into a martyr for the Gay Rights movement. But if he lives, maybe he becomes Mayor or a Congressman, thus he could further the movement from that role.

Maybe they could have discovered if the Doodler was an actual serial killer instead of just, what was considered, an urban legend.

I'm not sure if the movie would still be made, but it probably wouldn't be as famous or successful.
