Harold and William die at Hastings

What happens if both Harold Godwinson and William of Normandy died in the Battle of Hastings?

I could see some wrangling between the earls on whether Godwine Haroldson or Edgar Aetherling becomes king. Godwine being the eldest son of the brave king Harold and Edgar having the stronger blood relation to the House of Wessex(and would be easier for the Earls to manipulate)

which army wins? The Normans, or the English?

Doesn't really matter. William was the major force pushing for conquest. With him dead his army will probably just loot what they can until they can leave. The Saxons are likely to pick a new king soon, and Williams heir is still young. Worse comes to worse the Witan picks another strong warrior as king, who could plausibly hold the island against whoever invades next. Which would probably be the Danes.

Why would the Danes invade?

Harald and William both had (sketchy) claims to the throne of England. Did the Danish King?

Wouldn't Denmark be more likely to seize Norway? While Magnus and Harald always maintained their claim on England, did the Danish kings?

Sweyn II was the nephew of Canute the Great, and IOTL once tried to help Edgar the Atheling retake the throne of England. Heck, he was eve born and raised in England. So, it's within the realm of possibility that England could wind up with a Danish king again but rather unlikely.

With the immediate danger passed, the Earls would probably turn to the candidate they wanted to crown in the first place, Edgar the Aetheling. They didn't in the first place simply because he was too young. Maybe they crown Edgar King with Godwine as his Regent until he comes of age when he turns 16 the following year...or would it be 18, so two years later. Marry him to one of Harold's daughters to secure the power structure and you have a moderately stable nation.

You mean other than the fact that Sweyn II arguebly had the strongest claim of all pretenders, being the nephew of Canute (through via his Sister Estrid)? whereas Harald was the half-uncle of the illegitimate bastard of Olaf II (The Holy) and co-king to Canute, Magnus I. And Williams claim is rather questionable if not outright fabricated (certainly his claimed papal support seems to be so).
