Haj-Amin Al-Husseini dies in an accident during WWII:

Supposing that some convenient, fatal accident kills the Mufti of Jerusalem during WWII, what happens to Palestinian leadership around the time of the Israeli War of Independence? Without that particular leader and his murderous incompetence could Palestinians do better in terms of trying to secure their own rights?

Well, in that case, I'd have to say good riddance to another fascist blowhard.
Hopefully, this could lead to much better relations between the Israelis and Palestinians, at least in the long run.

One can hope. On the other hand the Mufti's lethal brand of "politics" dealt a pretty bad hand for the Palestinians at this time regardless. :(

Good riddance to bad rubbish is all I have to say.

But Arab-Israeli history is pretty much the same, because his successor would likely be as radical as he was, and because he had absolutely no impact other than fiery speeches and incitement.

The only real effect I can see is Israel not catching too much fire from the world when it demolishes the Shepherd Hotel in 2011.:D
