Hail Henri V!

At the first session of the French national assembly following the collapse of the Second Empire in 1871, the Orléanists and the Legitimists held a majority when taken as a whole. While each wanted their respective pretenders to be King, for the sake of Monarchy in France they compromised. Childless Henri, comte de Chambord, would become King and, following his death, the throne would pass to the Orléanist branch. The crown was offered to Henri, but he declined to be King as long as the tricolore was used; the Third Republic was established as a temporary measure, etc. etc.

So what if Henri bowed to the inevitable, accepted the tricolor, and became King of France and Navarre(or King of the French, I really don't know what the plan was)?
