"Woohoo"- Louis XV just before realising that New France may be a burden
-1763

___________
An Introduction______________
Hiya

After finally coming up with a name I have decided to put this timeline which mainly consists of wikiboxes into a thread.

Our Point of divergence is the 7 years war which ends in a stalemate after the war is a long and brutal war with no progress being made on either side. After which the borders of the world are not altered and New France and Florida remain in the hands of France and Spain. After quite a few years of recovery for Europe, the Stamp Act was causing unrest in the British Thirteen Colonies culminating in regular uprisings and militias. British attempts to disarm militias resulted in open conflict. Revolutionary forces seized Boston pushing the British out of the colony of Massachusetts. Similar Revolts happened in Virginia, New York and Pennsylvania. The rebelling colonies set up an Assembly to coordinate the effort of the revolution. Talks started in 1776 under what American independence would look like. But the Northern and Southern delegations had disagreements early on, what government style the possible nation would use. As a symbol of we the people the Southern Delegations suggested a Republican model of which had been rarely tried while the North with a larger population for stability suggested a Constitutional Monarchy would be a better system. Other proposals flying by of all colonies having separate nations but the tough decision was made on July the 2nd to make two separate nations out of the colonies, Columbia (Coming from the last name of a very adventurous Italian man), And Virginia (Just guess where that came from). The joint declaration of Independence was made on the 4th of July 1776. An immediate ally of the two new nations was France and Spain who provided Financial and equipment aid for the ongoing revolutionary war. The small Vermont Republic became a co-belligerent in war vying to join Columbia. in 1778 France joined in the Revolutionary war declaring war on Great Britan. With the addition of Spain, the year after the British was losing ground fast and with a weak force coming from the colony of Nova Scotia the British were set up to lose. On the 5th of September 1881 being driven from the colonies and having their remaining colonies threatened the United Kingdom calls for conditional Surrender and a Ceasefire was called. After a year of negotiation and British humiliation, the Treaty of Paris is signed. The British are forced to recognise the Nations of Virginia and Columbia. They are also forced to give up Gilbratar to Spain and the Colonies of New-Foundland and Nova-Scotia to New France. Ending the first British Empire.

The Next few years consisted of French Trade domination in the New World with the help of Columbia and Virginia as allies. The British, Incredibly demoralised started losing grip on holdings such as Ireland. The leadup to the turn of the century saw British ambitions crushed to the hands of the French. Although within France unrest was growing in the colony of Saint Dominque. Although a successful agricultural sector was booming in New France which had relived some stress from the colonies degrading soil. smaller and smaller yields of sugar had been taken out on the overworked slaves on the island. 1791 is the commonly accepted date of the start of the Haitian Revolution. It was a great sign of what was to come for France as Dissent was growing on the mainland. The New Nation of Hati was founded in 1798 with little outside support except for Prussia and Britan in a bid to annoy the French government. Not even a year later the Bastille, the residency of the French royal family, was stormed. This kicked off the official French Revolution. The French Revolution ended with the official Abolition of the French monarchy and the Establishment of the 1st French Republic. To the rest of the world, France had hit its head and forgotten who it was. A new relationship had opened up between France and its colonies. Even opening up relations with Hati. The leader of this new France was a young ambitious French man with plans beyond a Republic. The start of this new France was shaped by the war of the first coalition triggered by the breakdown of relations between France and Austria. France declared war on Austria in 1799 with threats coming from most of Europe. Immediately the entirety of the Holy Roman Empire and Great Britan Declared war on France. Unmobilzed the French easily held off them keeping to their front. On request by Austria, Spain joined in the war. With French troops off their border, Spanish troops made it as far north as Toulouse before the front was stabilised. Slowly but surely French troops pushed Spain back to the border. The German front had France on the boundaries of Frankfurt. In 1806 Austria called a conditional surrender after Frances forces were coming up on Madrid. The treaty Forced Spain to Give the rest of the Island of Hispaniola to Hati as well as Give Catalonia to France Proper. The French border was extended to the Rheinland and OTL Belguim. With such a big Territorial acquisition France had many pesant rebels calling the new sovereigns dictators. To enforce his own rule the French Leader decided to crown himself Emporer of the French, Napoleon the First, founding the French Empire. This was met with large distaste from the population seeing Napoleon as the same old evil they fought against in the revolution, A monarch. Multiple revolts across France over the period of 5 years left France weak. and in 1814 the Germans (The HRE) declared war on France again with Britan following along a few months later. The war saw France get pushed back but they managed to Scare Spain enough to not declare war on them and invade Guernsey and Jersey. The war ended within 7 years ending in a Conditional Surrender from France that saw Prussia taking control of the north Rheinland and the Dutch gaining Control with the area we know as Flanders. But France in return got Sovereignty over the Channel Islands they occupied. But the French people were at that point fed up with the Bonepartes and open riots still happened. The Bourbon Dynasty was organising a civil war in the country with much success. The bourbons eventually Declared war on the French empire with their holdings in Versailles. Across the Country, Republicans Rioted on the streets ending in the Second republic being formed in Bordeaux. A Three-way civil war continued to ensure for 4 years until Bonapartist France was forced into Britanny and Secretly there was an invitation to all supporters of the Bonaparte loyalists to Flee to New Orleans along with Napoleon himself. It was a Shock to the people of New France for fleets of boats filled with Bonapartist Loyalists, Soldiers and a Grand Entrance of Mr Boneparte himself to take control of the City. The Bonapartists Pushed up to Detroit to Declare the new Kingdom of Louisiana. The Civil war in France continued to rage until 1830 when after encountering brutality for 9 years the Republicans surrendered. The Bourbons immediately cracked down to Enforce law and order to the now blood ridden French land. And Louisiana Started to populate their territory with soldiers at peace. France was finally at peace and had lost Millions of men in the fighting.
