Gustav IV Adolf, no Russian war.

So, a question I have is this, if for whatever reason there was no war between Sweden and Russia during the reign of Gustav IV, say both are preoccupied with other things, what might change? Gustav's defeat in the war, led to his removal from the throne and replacement by Napoleon's general Bernadotte. If Gustav avoids the war, or perhaps it never happens, does this mean Swedish Absolutism remains for a time, under Gustav and his son? Who could his son marry?

Having done some more reading on Gustav, it appears his erratic behaviour contributed to a sense of him needing to be replaced by the military officers and nobility. From the way I see it, perhaps keeping his father Gustav III alive and able to raise his son properly, might be able to contribute to a more balanced Gustav IV, than the erratic character that was there otl
