At one time I heard that Guns of the South the novel by Harry Turtledove was being turn into a movie. Does any one have any information on this? If so how do you think it will do? With Obama has President today and the Tea Party having some racism problems would this movie show some of the problems of Civil War America that America has never got over today.

I hadn't heard about that. But then again I'm not much in politics. Are those "problems" much like the black USDA worker saying she wouldn't help white farmers?

The Confederates in the novel were portrayed as being moderately racist compared to the Afrikaners of the AWB. How would this even answer the race issues of this country if it were made into a movie anyway ?
This belongs in Books and Media. And I've not heard of a Guns of the South movie in any event.
