GREY VICTORY by Robert Skirmin

I liked it. It's about Jeb Stuart's court martial for his actions at Gettysburg. It gave a pretty good picture of a post war Confederacy.

Sorry to dig up an old post but . . .

Sorry to dig up an old post but I was about to start another asking about this book but figured it would be better to do this.

I learned about this book a while ago and I'd like to know how it is before deciding to read it. From what I know about it the major POD is that Joseph Johnston maintains control of the Confederate Army of Tennessee and b/c of this allows the confederates to win. The rest of the novel deals with JEB Stuart being on trial for his mistakes during Gettysburg, and one of John Brown's sons joining a group to attack the Confederacy.

It sounds like a good novel but I'd like to know how plausible its POD is and how likely where the butterflies it creates in the story to actually occur? As well I know about the historical screw up in the book about President Davis running for reelection so there is no need to tell me about that. Thank you.
