Greeks also deported to the Levant during World War 1

The Diaspora are estimated to be between 4-14 million, and the majority of them are Christian.
And?
A significantly larger Christian population means Christians get more representation in the government.
That not how the Lebanese government worked. As I pointed out many times the Christian Community of Lebanon is divided into various sects, who are not political united and are opposed to each.

This means no Lebanese participation in the 1948 Israel-Arab War
That enflames various religious communities and political parities
most likely means a more pro Israel government that blocks Palestinian refugees from entering the country
There was no pro-Israeli factions in Lebanon before the Civil War nor does Lebanon have the strength to stop the flow of refugees.

They already had a guaranteed majority in Parliament under the National Pact. Further, it's not like they voted as a block, there were leftist and rightist parties for all the sects, and convoluted alliances between them.

What makes you think they'd have any affection for the state that illegally occupied their holy sites, has driven their co-religious from their homes, and flooded them with unwanted refugees? Not all Christians get their perspective on foreign affairs from American news channels...

Picking a fight with the rest of the Arab world would be suicide. That's why the Christian dominated government acquiesced to the refugees and presence of the PLO, and a hundred thousand Greeks won't change that.

Would it be likely for the Greeks to be assimilated into the pre-existing Arab orthodox communities or remain there own separate community?

Why would the Ottomans be so daft as to deport a population ethnically related to a potential or actual enemy to a place where they can easily be supplied by the Royal Navy?
