Greek Orthodox Church in India

I am looking for opportunities in which the Greek Orthodox Church is the biggest Christian Church among Indian Christians.

PoD is no earlier than 1750 AD

You're making this one a challenge.

How about.... Roman (as they considered themselves) Greek Orthodox groups move in significant numbers to India under the British. As India approaches independence, rather than be seen as too Pro-British, the Greek Orthodox Church In India is a good alternative for Christian Indians.

Does it have to be specifically Greek Orthodox, or is a canonical Orthodox Church in communion with the Ecumenical Patriarch sufficient?

In the first part of the 20th Century, the Orthodox Church took some steps towards recognizing the Anglical Church. At one point the Ecumenical Patriarch stated that the Anglical bishops' orders were valid. Had this come to completion, the Anglicans in India would be Orthodox. That should get you to about 4-5 million, about 25% the size of the Catholic population. Not sure how to closethat gap.

I consider the above unlikely. You would probably have to start the process earlier.
