Greatest General of The 20th Century?

I made another thread like this, but it was to find the greatest general in all of history. For this thread, I have decided to close the borders, so to speak, and focus just on Gererals in the 20th century.

I'm not an expert on this, so I'm curious to see who comes up on this thread. I suspect both Rommel and Montgomery will come up alot.

And since its been mentioned on other threads, Hitler was not a General.

Some people seem to think he was.

General Confusion?

Although many would claim General Motors to be succesful, I think only General Electric can claim to be succesful throughout 20th Centur as General Motors was established in 1908 and had it's real successes way before Oil Crisis. Nowadays General Electric it's third largest corporation in the world, so undoubtely it's the greatest of all Generals.

Besides, while GM's engines are quite good they're simply no match for GE's engines in terms of brute force...

Now come on lets be serious. However, during the Christmas period I feel that I should interpret "greatest" as causing the least injury to others. Thus, restricting myself only to WW2, I propose the following possibilities:

France - Gamelin (as a representative of his army) or Huntziger (because he showed how you can have a profound influence without doing much and can be promoted afterwards).

Britain - Percival

Germany - difficult but perhaps Paulus

Italy - Graziani (as a representative of his army and for his pre-war performance)

Japan - Mutaguchi (for showing the importance of logistics)

USA - Fredendall or Clarke

USSR - Voroshilov or Mekhlis

Surely others will be suggested now I have got the ball rolling!
