My question is what would have happened if the DDR encompassed all the OTL land but also all of the land lost to Poland after WW2 excluding East Prussia and Danzig. More specifically I want to know how this would effect the development of East Germany economically and the like, such as keeping the industrial power of Silesia.

Thanks for any and all comments!:D

EDIT: I mean that Poland's western boarder is decided as the same time as OTL but it was decided not to take land from Silesia, Brandenburg or Pomerania. This means that the USSr's occupation zone in Germany is larger. Things carry on roughly as in OTL and when it comes to when the DDR was created in OTL it gets created for the same reasons at the same time out of the occupation zone of the USSR, which ITTL includes Silesia, Hinter Brandenburg and Hinter Pomerania.
