In light of all the previous threads on the Guns of Singapore et al, is there any way that the british secret service before dec 1941 have influenced elements amongst the Vichy French regime in Indochina to have taken more of an active role against the japs instead of just meekly accepting occupation ? OTL the Japs & Vichy forces- mainly Foreign Legion- got on well enough until 1945, when the former turned on the latter as the war was being lost, massacring many isolated garrisons. But, could say force 136 or some similar covert outfit have been able to have some influence on certain French officers to undertake some activity detrimental to the Jap presence in indochina, and with what effect for the Malaya camapign ?
