Great Wall of Korea?

Let's say sometime time during the early part of the tenth century AD , the Korean Kingdom of Goryeo builds the "Great Wall of Korea", a large wall that would stretch along the southern banks of the Yalu River and other parts of Northern Korea. If properly manned, how well could this wall do in keeping out the Mongols, Chinese, and any other invaders coming from the North?

Now that I think about it, why didn't the Koreans build a wall?

Acquiring a Yalu border was thanks to the Khitans, actually.

Additionally, the Goryeo polity in the early 10th century was more like a feudal polity in which the king was simply first among equals, so I doubt the central government would be capable of this. Furthermore, defensive walls are, well, defensive and the early Goryeo were an irredentist state.
