Duh! I didnt look at the dates closely. There 3 at one point as well. If the papacy was'nt restored to Rome, perhaps the position of Pope and King of France could be united.

Aren't Popes supposed to be celibate? It might be hard to keep the dynasty running...

The Great Schism tarred the reputation of the Catholic Church for a long time (even in the XXth Century history books in Catholic grade schools frequently did not touch on it all hoping that if a youngster heard about Schism they would confuse it with the Eastern CHurch Schism which was a topic they felt less threatening0. So one impact of No Great Schism is the Church's credibility takes less of a hit and the Reformation will have more difficulty taking root.
