There would have been more protectionism (although the USA was already quite protectionist at the time).

European imperialism would have been greatly impacted. It was expensive to maintain and government finances would have been reduced.

The Fordist mass-production system would have been indefinitely delayed.

There would have been a war to bring things to a crisis eventually.

Although there were worse depresions in the 19th century there effects were not as bad because more people grew there own food.

We were still quite a ways into industrialization. And not having a depression during the dustbowl years would have been a help. Or maybe Kansas and Oklahoma would not have been as recklessly farmed.

I guess such a recession would mean no Panama Canal.
