This is the second installment of my little side project: "What if post-antiquity Egypt's ruler continued the tradition of making stelae?"

"I am Galerius Valerius Maximinus, successor to the divine Galerius. As Caesar, I administered Egypt and led her legions to victory against Persia. Upon returning to Alexandria on the seventh day of Thot, which corresponds to the sixth day of Hyperberataios in the Year 622, Alexandria’s citizenry saluted me with adultation. I was led to the Caesareum where the army and priests hailed me as pharaoh, the son of Jupiter-Ammon, the living image of Serapis and beloved of Isis. I am tasked to save Egypt from the sway of false prophets and restore true religion and peace. Rome will again rule the world, revived by Egyptian vigor."

Is the 622 mentioned in AD? If so, why is that used while making references to Roman and Egyptian religion? Also the Greek and Latin parts should read “ΧΚΒ” and “DCXXII” respectively.

The Year of Alexander. It was using a Hellenistic dating system that was actively used in the East. The idea was that Galerius was trying to actively reach out to the traditionalist Egyptians so he could go on campaign to seize control of the whole Empire. And thanks! I didn't know! I will change it!

Had some sci-fi British Empire ideas, in something of an era of technological evolution and in a war against a technologically more advanced (well, to start with) power with some notes of a big climactic Jutland style battle.

Notes:
The speeds given in [] is not actual, of course. As noted, the STL speed is probably gonna be "max (sustainable) acceleration in Gs" and FTL will be "times Lightspeed". The numbers given is to mostly give an idea of proportion of speed between various classes, with actual proper numbers to be given when I figure out numbers that might scientifically make some sense (same for weapon power and stuff).

Masers have proven more effective against hulls than lasers or grasers, while grasers have proven to be more effective against shields than lasers or masers.
It is because of this that masers and grasers are used together.
(Maser is microwave laser and graser is gamma ray laser, fyi)

2 grasers and 2 masers can inflict 1 shield unit of damage in one shot.
The 20"/50 railgun can inflict 2 shield units of damage in one shot.
A particle beam can inflict 3 shield units of damage in one shot.
A standard anti-ship missile can inflict 4 shield units of damage.
A lance can inflict 5 shield units of damage in one shot.
A long range anti-ship missile can inflict 8 shield units of damage.
A spinal coilgun (600m long, 3m calibre) can inflict 10 shield units of damage.

A long range anti-ship missile launcher has same surface area as two standard missile launchers (but a third deeper)
Maser and Graser mounts cover similar volume.
Particle Beam mounts are 1.5 times deeper and has twice the surface area. (And require 4 times the energy of a single maser/graser)
Lance mounts are the same size as particle beam mounts but deeper still. (2 times that of masers/grasers) (and requires 6 times the energy of a single maser/graser)

Generic Space BB.png

A basic generic concept for these classes. Of course the number of turrets or missile tubes or chasers (and broadsides, in the earlier classes they have windows and hangars but are replaced with weaponary in later classes (Reaper and Reliant classes have even more missile tubes there)) would be different depending on the class, as would the general scaling of stuff (it would probably be longer front of the the fore turrets). The tower at top is not an actual bridge. Or well, it is the navigation/peacetime cruising bridge, and various observation and mess decks. The actual bridge and CIC is more towards the middle inside the main fuselage. The middle grey is armour, layered upon the hull proper in four pieces.

"Felfordulások" (Hungarian for "Upheavals") is the fourth studio album of the Hungarian Metal band Őrszem. It was recorded in January and Febuary 1990 at P. Studio in Hungary and was produced by Őrszem's singer Miklós Kisnyírfa.
The album has been released on July 13th, 1990 by Hungaroton.
In the early era of the band it marks the album with the hardest style of music.
According to Kisnyírfa, for this album the band got mostly influenced by Judas Priest's "Ram It Down", Metal Church's "Blessing in Disguise", U.D.O.'s "Mean Machine", Shelter's "Ulterior Mysteries", Chastain's "The Voice of the Cult", W.A.S.P.'s "The Headless Children", Metallica's "And Justice For All" and Blind Guardian's "Battalions of Fear" albums, he told in an interview.
Main but not only topic of the songs (on four songs) is the fall of communism (and the uncertain future).

The tracklist:

Side A:
1. Itt az idő
2. Átkozott fattyú
3. Az örömöd ondókja
4. Felfordulások
5. Álmaid rombolója

Side B:
1. Csavart elmék
2. Mennydörgő Rock
3. Rúgták és leköpték
4. Szétverjük a falakat! [Instrumental]
5. A börtön porrá vált

Total length: 42 minutes and 3 seconds

"Felfordulások" received very good valuations from both the press and especially the fans. It became the band's most popular album, before "Fémlázadó" (1987) and "A mennydörgő hullámok" (1988).
From different sides, it was tried to index the album, because of the provocative song "Az örömöd ondókja" or to force Őrszem and Hungaroton to only release versions of the album without that track, but they could not prevail.
For the first time, the album brought the band outside of Hungary for a handful of gigs in Austria, Italy, West Germany, East Germany, Poland and the Netherlands (one gig each country).

The 2003-remastered release of the album includes five bonus tracks: "It's Time", "Thundering Rock", "Fémlázadó (élőverzió)", "Felfordulások (élőverzió)" and "Emelkedő főnix (élőverzió)". The first two are English translations of "Itt az idő" and "Mennydörgő Rock", recorded in 1992; the last three ones are live versions, recorded in Nagyvárad in 1990.

Decided to make a logo for my "Bellépunk" timeline, an ASB retrofuturistic timeline inspired by speculative fiction and art during the Belle Époque (1871-1914). I based the font on one used on a contemporary poster. I thought about putting various thing to the lower right but eventually decided on simply extending the lower diagonal bar of the "K".

What about a futuristic timeline that is 30 or 40 years ahead of OTL? What would the title of TL be?

would really depends on what aspect of the future you were emphasizing.
Yeah but I want to see the smartphones even with transparent ones, VR/IVRs, glass, and holographic or transparent smartphones or TVs or computers, hydrogen or thorium-based vehicles, and also expanded space colonies with cities and industrial complexes that manufactures goods or extracts raw materials outside from Earth but still this year.

Hello.
For my Nemesis setting, i'll see Gamillas soldiers from Starblazers 2099 are perfect as uniforms and armors(as ships i'll use Terran one, i found less "alien")
Can someone teach me, how change skin color to pics?
Thanks.

He is Dessler from Yamato - Starblazer anime.
Originally he has a blue skin, ill try to transform him in a human, do you think, this could go?

Thanks

I think this goes in this thread, this is a diagram of an ATL version of the platform mound at Pueblo Grande (a major site of the indigenous Hohokam culture located right next to the airport in modern Phoenix, Arizona) from my TL A Horn of a Bronze (link to specific entry). In my TL, the Hohokam are more numerous and wealthier thanks to having adopted domesticated mountain goats and having wealthier neighbors to their west in OTL California to trade with, and those at Pueblo Grande (TTL called by the name Am Kukui, or Hispanicised as Ancugüi) are the wealthiest and most powerful of the Hohokam.

That's uncanny, I love it.
