just gonna spitball ideas here because i made these like 5 minutes ago

Rock has been in a long, steady decline since the 80's. Most of its supporters have gone to any number of the adjacent parties, though the Popular Coalition and ¡ND!E have sucked up most of them. Speaking of...

The Popular Coalition is a loose (but ever-tightening) coalition of many smaller parties and independents, ranging anywhere from Synthetic-Popular to New Folk to Popular-Rock (they aren't very good with names). The Muses' Republic has pretty much been a dominant-party system with the Coalition as head since the late 90's.

[Vaporwave Party 1997] originated as a joke party (much like the MRLP or Rhinoceros Party), but is starting to gain some serious libertarian followers.

The Punk-Rockists are the political branch of the PUNK anarchist movement. They had some success in the mid-2000's with more populist leaders, but have fallen back into irrelevance.

¡ND!E, EDM, and HiPHoP are seen as the most likely candidates for an upsurping of the Popular Coalition. They'd wouldn't be caught dead in a coalition with each other, but there's always a chance.

Pleeeasse make deadmau5 the EDM party leader.
And make a poster too!

Okay, here's my best try: it's the 1920s, World War 1 has just ended and people are sick of wars and want to try something new. In *Either UK, new country or US, cast your vote* all the major political parties collapse under stress and some jazz musisians decide to try running a country and make a political party. All of the other musical genres don't want a government ruled by the JAzz Party so they all form their own parties.

I vote a US-UK union that forms around wwi times.

helyx martian is, as the name suggests, designed for life on Mars.
helyx superior is the canonical modification (according to helyx, anyway), consisting of several tweaks here and there to just make the human body better.
gender gammahs are available from pretty much every medical store or national health service, but the allure of helyx branding is ever-present, and who could resist?

Lagos, Luna, Lwów, and everything in between

This is beautiful. I can just see these posters in a subway somewhere.

Helyx, a Google subsidirary. After google bought Apple in 2058, Microsoft in 2079 and Amazon in 2112, it became Uber-Rich and started creating subsidiraries. One subsidirary was Google Bio who ended up buying Helix industries: combining and turning into Helyx.

So Google is the Buy 'N Large of OTL?

Alphabet has its own life-extending subsidary (Calico), ITTL extended to gammahs as well. Most of the big megacorps, including Alphabet, collapsed in a spectacular fashion in the late 21st century. Martian China sat back and laughed while the rest of the world got A Wee Bit Panicked for a few years.

helyx, on the other hand, was started as many tech companies were: by 2 tech geeks in a garage. They still have a lot of physical scars from testing.

If I'd had to bed Calcio is more advanced and if anythree companies were going to survive, it would be: Google, Disney and Nintendo.

A bit of future history, after Google gets rich enough for the Google islands in the 2050s which becomes a technocratic paradise, they fuse with Amazon in the 2080s becoming Gamazon:

Some illustrations from the online preview of Infomocracy, a novel where a mid-21st-century world is mostly united in "Micro-Democracy" a system where everyone lives in divisions of 100,000 people called centenals, and every 10 years elect a party-government to govern them. Information is the regulatory body that provides internet, electronic voting, fact-checking, and policing, a sort of merger between wikipedia, google, and the NSA. These are ads for Heritage, the incumbent "Supermajority" or overall leader party. Heritage is a conservative corporate coalition. The next is Policy1st, a wonk party that tries to pick provably superior policies, and finally there's Information in general, as well as a graffiti-defaced variant.

Quick cross-post of chemistry from my timeline (down in my signature). The part for it is still being written, but I got this made and figured Id share it now.

Another graphic as I get the next update going. I'll be having a focus on a bit of science, and while this chart is far in advance of what said science will be, here is a peak of what chemistry looks like in TTL (known as alchimy), using the basic equation of photosynthesis. Several things to note: the alchimical circle below is the basic manner in which equations are organized, and is read top, right, left. If more than three compounds are part of the equation, you start over, writing first right of the top compound, right of the right compound, left of the left compound, and then if you need to go again, you write left of the top compound, alternating. The compounds are separated by a comma. The results of the equation are written from the points of the smaller triangles and are read right, bottom, left, and have similar method for more than three compounds being listed.

The actual math is done on the side or by drawing lines for aid, but it is presented as such for official purposes. Actually, presenting your work on an exam in regular equative methods of x + y = z is needed for full marks if it asks for work, but otherwise, you present you answer as such. Think of it not unlike formatting a summation with Σ. This is because alchimy still very much respects tradition and the ways of their predecessors, and elements have unique, triangular symbols deriving from the classical alchimical symbols of the four elements. Is this difficult and overly ceremonial? Yes. Do alchimists require a chart most days to make sure they don't cross elemental symbols? Yes. But they view all that as part of the science, not because it is magical, but because the ceremony is what makes their science also an art.

Additionally, the Leo in the middle of the circle is because of its association with processes of heating in alchemy and its association with the Sun in astrology; this makes it the symbol for when sunlight is required. Aries is for when a heat source is required. None is if it only requires contact. Now for the numbers, the number of each element is in Roman Numerals in subscript, while the number of molecules is in Arabic Numerals in superscript preceding. The elements are grouped in terms of electron shells over number or weight, but the designer of the Diagram wanted to maintain the ceremonial feel, and so elements are grouped first pentagramically, and then in quartered rings. Due to early errors, TTLs f-shell and d-shell elements were grouped together, and are now separated by half-circles, not unlike the dividing 'steps' in the current Periodic Table between Metalloids and Post-Transition Metals.

The coloring shows each grouping of elements, a red dot denoting man-made element, an outline is a theorized element, yet undiscovered or created. The Diagram is made for a point in ATL where they have created and discovered an equal number of elements as us. It's read center, upper right pentagram, and then clockwise, then top inner ring, clockwise, top outer ring.
