Grand Duke George becomes Tsarevich

Tsarevich Nicholas of Russia embarked upon a royal grand tour, accompanied by his brother George. Departing Russia in 1890 and traveling by steamship and train, they visited the Middle East, India, China, and Japan.
Nicholas, while in Japan, survived an assassination attempt in 1891 when a Japanese man lunged at him, swinging a sword at the Tsarevich's head.

Suppose Nicholas is killed. His brother Grand Duke George becomes Tsarevich. He becomes Tsar in 1894 upon the demise of Alexander III.

George had bad healthy so he hardly would reign any longer than live in OTL. He would be probably puppet tsar of conservative politicians.

How could he be a puppet, if he has all the power? Unless we are to assume that Nicholas II was a puppet of his wife and brothers in that case.

he was dying of TB? by the time of Tsar Alexander III's death The Grand Duke was too sick to go to St. Petersburg for the funeral, he also was too sick to attend the christenings of his brother Nicholas' daughters much to his distress, the only time he was well enough to travel from his health retreat in Likani between 1894 and his death was a trip with his mother in 1895 to Denmark to see her family where he became so ill Maria Feodorovna thought he was going to die and he was bed ridden for some time

any ways being forced to go to St. Petersburg with its long cold wet winters would likely bring on his death more quickly as would the stresses of being Tsar (likely he'd smoke more too)

who knows if being Tsarevich and than Tsar will make Grand Duke Michael behave himself when it comes to women, being second in line behind a deathly ill little boy didn't seem to keep him in line though, basically every woman in OTL he fell in love with would be a major issue, though maybe as Tsar he never meets Natalia Wulfert, regardless much like King Edward VIII Grand Duke Michael's taste in women is trouble and I think no matter who he falls for it'll be a problem

If he is the Tsar though,I'd presume Michael would be able to change the morganatic marriage law easily. Also,if Michael is more intelligent than Nicholas when it comes to ruling the empire, which I think he would be,marrying a divorcee is the least of his worries.

Count Witte certainly though Michael preferable to Nicholas II - though in this scenario he will succeed as a teenager.
The dominant forces will be his uncles and his mother at least in the early years.
He might in this scenario be able to marry according to his own wishes his cousin Beatrice of Saxe Coburg Gotha (in OTL she was the only Royal he ever wanted to marry - Nicholas vetoed the match as they were first cousins much to his aunt's fury)

In this scenario Grand Duke George does not fall ill with tuberculosis.
He lives numerous years past 1899.

well that doesn't make sense, I mean he already has TB at that point, George was on that trip because it had TB, his mother hoped the warm air would improve his health.
