Kim Jong-il is instantly killed by the explosion, leaving a power vacuum in North Korea with Jang Sung-taek being in charge of North Korea but facing factions in the military and party which accuse him of assassinating Kim Jong-il as well. Others claim South Korea had Kim Jong-il assassinated as well.
