I need to know who the MOST LIKELY people would be to fill cabinet positions in a Gore White House in 2001.

Please, no political commentary or jokes, and please no wish fulfilment or long shots.

I need to know the MOST LIKELY people.

If you can show references as to why they would be most likely, that would be helpful.

Okay, the two/three I think are possibles thus far are:

Chief of Staff: William Daley
Secretary of State: Richard Holbrooke
Secretary of Defense: Sam Nunn

I've now had the following also suggested:

Interior = Tom Daschle

Need more cabinet members.

I googled "Gore Cabinet" and here's one guy's take on it:

Secretary of State Bill Richardson
Secretary of the Treasury Alice Rivlin
Secretary of Defense Wesley Clark
Attorney General John Edwards
Secretary of the Interior David Freudenthal
Secretary of Agriculture Brian Schweitzer
Secretary of Commerce Mark Warner
Secretary of Labor Robert Reich
Secretary of HHS Thomas Vilsack
Secretary of HUD Eleanor Holmes Norton
Secretary of Trans ?
Secretary of Energy Shelley Berkley (or Tom Davis)
Secretary of Education Dr. Johnetta Cole
Secretary of VA Max Cleland
Secretary of Homeland Sec Susan Collins

EDIT: Found an updated list.

This looks like a cabinet for 2004-5, not 2000-1.

Surely with the Senate being the way it was Gore would have been reluctant to appoint Democrat Senators (I know it also depends on who would be the governors in their states but(

Good point. It would only be outgoing Senators or Senators from states with Democratic Governors.

Need more help, so I'm going to move this to the discussion thread and see if I can recruit some more information.

So, anyone have some more information on who would be the likeliest (and only the likeliest please) members of the first Gore cabinet in 2001?
