Let's assume that the Warren commission showed culpability that LBJ had in the JFK assassination and he is impeached in 1964. LBJ has to address the country much as he did 4 yrs later and state he will not be running for Presidency. The next obvious Democrat to run is his VP. With the stain of his party's complicity in the murder, HHH is blown out and loses a landslide to Barry Goldwater in 1964. Was Goldwater really as extreme as he was made out to be? I mean after LBJ blasted him for being an interventionist extremist he sent 600,000 soldiers to Vietnam. So what would a Barry Goldwater foreign policy look like?
