I have been toying with an idea for some time and would like some input on this from others.

Consider the following scenario.

In 1935-36 Hermann Goering successfully kicks his morphine addiction for a variety of personal reasons.

In 1936 Charles Lindbergh visits Germany for the Summer Olympics. At that time he broaches the subject of Hermann Goering visiting the U.S. Lindbergh feels having Goering actually visiting the U.S. will help to diffuse any "war talk" on the part of the FDR government. Goering is delighted with the invitation which while not from the U.S. government gives him a chance to really see what things are like in the U.S.

Goering arrives in 1937 on the Hindenburg. Because the Reich marshal is on board the crew take more then usual precautions and the air ship arrives in New Jersey safely.

As the guest of Lindbergh Goering spends about three months in the U.S. He is very impressed by what he sees and his attitude that the Americans can only produce "refrigerators and razor blades" quickly dissipates. He realizes that in a war American industrial capability would be formidable.

After three months he returns to German and reports to Hitler.

What would Goering's report look like?

How might it effect Hitler's conduct of the war? And how might it effect his relationships with the U.S.?
