Goeben doesn't reach Constantinople

What would be the possible change of events if Goeben had been sunk before reaching Constantinople?

The Ottomans will be slower to get into the war, in OTL the bombardment of the Russian ports forced their hands before they were ready IMO. We may see a closer blockade of the Adriatic by secondary units of the RN, and even if not, more of the MN will be available, not being drawn off towards the Straits. Delaying or even stopping Ottoman entry into the war gives the largest benefit to Russia, it allows the deployment of more troops westwards. This is off the top of my head, so I've not looked at the numbers to see how significant that change will be.

the Germans lose all influence over the Turks. The Turks dicker amongst themselves and haggle with both the Entente and the Central Powers for the best deal

With the Germans unable to assist- being able to send supplies only through Bulgaria and Romania, the Turks wouldn't be that interested If the Entente can keep the talks going for six months to a year, they should be able to win the war. Bonus points if they convince the Turks to join against the CP

The Straits had already been closed off to Russian comercial shipping prior to Goeben even reaching them. That and the fact that the Entente couldn't really discount an ottoman war entry and had to keep assets on stand-by just in case means the Turks did most of their job already :p

Also, no way is the Entente winning the war by Christmas, Turkish entry or not.

You get an Ottoman wank. The Germans forced the Ottomans to join the war early by actions of its Naval units. ITTL, the Ottomans will not finish their mobilization before the winter sets in. This avoids many of OTL disasters, so the front versus Russia is much better than OTL.
