.This idea has been swirling in my mind for a while. While the idea of Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon having a son has been discussed heaps, I don't think a TL has been made about it. So I'm making one..

Gloria Papales-A History of a Catholic England
On 1 January, 1511, Catherine of Aragon, Queen of England, gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Henry, Duke of Cornwall. Despite fears about the bay's health, the young Prince easily made it through infancy[1]. Extravagant celebrations were held to celebrate the birth of a male heir. The already affectionate relationship between King and Queen grew even more so, and Henry rode under the banner of 'Sir Loyal Heart's in his jousting tournament for Catherine.
In 1513, war erupted between England and France, so Henry VIII went to fight in France. Louis XII of France persuaded Henry's brother-in-law, James IV, King of Scots, to invade England. However, Scotland suffered a devastating defeat at the Battle of Flooded Field against the English. James IV was killed and his infant son,James V, became King of Scots.
That same year, Queen Catherine gave birth to a stillborn son. In 1514, Catherine gave birth to a second son, Edward Tudor[2]. In 1516, Catherine produced a third child, a girl, Mary[3]. In 1518, Catherine stuffed another abortive pregnancy.
Europe at the time was gripped by religious turmoil between the Protestants and the traditional Catholic faith. England however remained devoutly Catholic, like its monarchs. Heresy was ruthlessly persecuted under Henry VIII, especially when his Lord Chancellor Thomas More was in power. This failed to prevent the emergence of a Protestant minority.
