Get Denmark part of Germany before 1850

Ive got a challenge for you, as it says in the title with a POD between 1500 and 1850 get Denmark a fully integrated part of Germany/Prussia.

you can kill people as lomg as there is a sensible and not ridiculous reason
you can make wars but it cannot simply be "X attacks Y" it must have a political reasoning
you can add in a few people to make it easier, for example a man born after 1500
any questions about the criteria just ask!

Good luck!

Make Oldenburg grow succesfully, followed up by merging the Ducal and Royal Oldenburg lines.

Easiest through would be in 950 by letting Otto II survive the malaria disease that he got, and/or prehaps more critically not run into a devestating defeat at Stilo against the Sicilian Muslims. Then he could have a reasonable chance of winning the Great Slav Rising and other revolts that sprung up as a result of the loss (including Denmark which Otto I had forced into vassalage in 950), and keep HRE relatively centralized around the Ottonian dynasty.

That would work :D
Anyway to do it after 1500 though?

Idea a) an ATL where Emperor Charles V. is really invested in restoring his brother-in-law Christian II. to the Scandinavian thrones. Perhaps somehow related to a scheme for keeping the Sund open for Burgundian/Dutch/Flemish vessels. Sweden keeps its independence under Gustav Vasa, Norway remains under the rule of Frederick I and his successors, but Denmark with Scania remain under the rule of the House of Oldenburg-Habsburg. Now we "just" have to get Denmark inside the HRE and the nobility slowly Germanized.

Idea b) In the Less-than-30-Years' War, Christian IV rolls critical successes at every opportunity. He defeats Tilly, ousts the imperial forces from Northern germany and is accepted as Protector of the Augsburg Confession in the HRE, while winning the Archbishoprics and Bishoprics of Bremen and Verden Magdeburg and Halberstadt plus Hildesheim and Minden as hereditary possessions. This makes the Danish king the factual ruler of the Lower Saxon Circle and very influential in imperial affairs.
