Well this took decades to do in China. But we know what happened when the Golden Horde settled down... Nada. Europe adapted.



But they had gunpowder in the 1280s, right? And it didn't work. While Hungary developed more stone fortifications, I don't know and haven't seen evidence this was true of Germany and Bohemia.

Both issues are because the Golden Hordr by then in OTL was both not as interested in Europe and was exhausted from warfare in the east due to the Mongolian Civil War.
