now thats what the concept for the freedom tower should have been!
instead of being a highly futuristic replacement for the twin towers that feels more like a highly militarized, orwellian version of epcot at disney
in a pre 9/11 AU both towers in both cities could have become americas answer to the burj kalifa or the jeddah tower
unlike the freedom tower in OTL which (i hate to say this) kinda looks like an eyesore compared to the original twin towers even with the cool mural of the anime girl and buzzfeed moving into it
you know with its association to 9/11 and all

I wonder if Barack Obama will still become a Senator ITTL, but without 9/11 and Iraq, he might remain a Senator or be nominated as a cabinet secretary in the next administration.
I wonder too if Sasha Obama is butterflied away or remains the same person because the POD is in 1998. Malia Obama would have been still a baby or about to be conceived by the time of the POD.

Obama already is a Senator, that remained unchanged. I can’t remember the chapter but him and Deval Patrick were both in the Senate by 2004 (Patrick was appointed as Kerry’s replacement.)
Him staying in the senate and then going for Illinois governor in 2010 seems possible, IIRC he wasn't a fan of the senate. I can't see him going for a cabinet position, he's too ambitious to take the smaller posts and too junior for the prestige positions.
Or very different stories in some form. Maybe a Pat Tillman biopic about his football career focused on the season he led his team to victory in the Super Bowl.
Whatever the renovation of WTC and those cool skyscrapers, they have to be built for the 2012 New York Olympics
