Germany/USSR/Japan Axis.

If you had such an Axis before WW2 began, I think this would force the Isolationist sentiment in the USA to go completely down the pan - there's no way, what with a mere 90 miles separating the USSR and Alaska, the USA can afford to sit back and depend on the expanse of the Atlantic and Pacific to protect it.

Massive realignment and co-operation of British, French and American armies - possibly the Dutch for good measure given their precarious position in South East Asia. Will there then be a war? Maybe. Earlier atomic bomb? Possibly.

You haven't read the page you yourself quoted. Guess who occupied Iceland first.

Exactly. As I thought. They were neither "territories" nor "protectorates", either of the USA or of Britain. Even a _disputed_ wiki page calls Greenland a "_de facto_ protectorate", which is a long, long, long way from "technically a protectorate".

Greenland was a Danish territory, and Iceland either the same with a very high degree of autonomy or even an independent country, depending on who you ask. You can say the Allies occupied them and you'll be right.

fine your right im wrong. what i ment is that axis would be justified in attacking those islands.
