Germany Taken Over By Italian-Style Fascists

What if instead of the Nazis, an alternate far-right party more directly inspired by Mussolini's Fascists rose to power in interwar Germany? Would such a regime make saner foreign policy decisions than Hitler? How would this change World War 2, if it even happened at all?

I don't see it changing the start of WWII at all. Mussolini was expantionist and looked to recreate the Roman Empire through military conquest.
If the Notzis in charge of this altered Germany are inspired by Mussolini and the Italian Facists then they'll still look to create, or recreate a German Empire, (but in the way they imagine it), so will still look to recover the "stolen"* parts of Prussia, Sudetenland, Alsace-Lorraine etc.
The only real difference comes if they avoid the anti-Semitism and genocide, which will result in different treatment post war.

*As in removed from them at Versailles.
