Germany is able to take all of Poland in 1939

1. Is there a way to avoid the secret clause in the pact and that Germany can take all of Poland?

Even if that is completely ASB what would the effects of it be? Germany is much closer to Moscow for the start of their offensives but Stalin may just be willing to listen to the rumors of a German invasion.

Even without that clause the Soviet Union would probably enter Poland and annex those areas.

The German forces suffer greater Casualties and the campaign lasts significantly longer - Particularly if the Polish Army manages to establish its 'Romanian Bridgehead' defence (which was scuppered OTL by the Russian invasion).

This might possibly allow for a more meaningful response from France with more time to add British forces - OTL the campaign had ended before the French had fully mobilised resulting in a very anaemic 'invasion' of Germany which had little overall impact on Germany and this force retreated as soon as the Polish campaign ended.

As for subsequent events?

Depends on the French really - if they up their invasion of Germany and end up occupying the Rhur then Germany might be in big trouble - but I'm not convinced that the French Military would be ready for such an offensive in 1939 and the British were still mobilising.

So I suspect that the upshot is simply a longer Polish campaign that possibly drags on into the Winter months but with the French still withdrawing as soon as sufficient German forces are released to return to Germany.
