Germany belonging to the USSR

What if after the end of World War II, all of Germany was taken over by the Soviets?
In this case, there was a delay in the resumption of France by the allies, this allowed the Soviet army to march to the German border with France.

Yalta Conference

Stalin could not have simply 'taken over all of Germany' without risking war with the US / UK ... which would, to say the very least, have been exceedigly risky since, byYalta he already knew the US had the atomic bomb ..

Historically he stuck to the Yalta deal and even handed over 2/3rds of Berlin ...

On the other hand, if the US never develops the atom bomb = UK might well have convinced the US to let Stalin get away with it == after all, who, in the UK 1945, would care ??? (even if/when Stalin starts filling the Concentration Camps with Nazis)

Gone Fishin'

Whenever I think of Operation Unthinkable - thinking of unthinking -, I picture the scene in Lord of the Rings 3 where the armies march off to the gates of Mordor. So there they are, about to lose, knowing before they went they would lose, but did it anyone. Then, the crack of doom, is an A-Bomb.
Not the best comparison to Op Unthinkable, I know, but that is how I see it: marching off gleefully to a fight you know you will lose but for the sake of a point... or a pesky pair of hobbits, one with his precious.
