Well we got a thread about invading Sweden, and im sure that we've talked about Nazis invading Switzerland before, some stuff involving Iberia and even Ireland i think, so might as well talk about one of the other semi neutral nations of WW2 in Europe. Bulgaria! :)

So lets say that Germany doesnt put pressure on Bulgaria to declare war on the allies in 1941, maybe they forgot or something, or maybe they asked and Bulgaria refused and they were cool with that, just roll with it. And lets say in late 1943 after Tsar Boris dies, the regency is made up of more pro-neutrality people, and have Germany again asks Bulgaria declares war on the allies. Lets handwave it and say Bulgaria isnt equipped with common sense that day or figures since it works last time politely refuse.

And Hitler also in a move that doesnt make much sense, declares war on Bulgaria and orders the armed forces to invade the Balkan country.

So how's it play out? Bulgaria doesnt exactly have a great military but they got support from Yugoslav partisans and are fighting a defensive war. How would things play out if Army Group E only had the forces currently available to them (So Romania, Greece, Yugoslavia, maybe Hungary)? Or what if more (as in very) unlikely Germany takes some forces away from more important areas, any effect on those fronts?

Thoughts?
