Germans in Turkey

There were some German families in Kars district settled by Russian at the end of 19thcentury. There was even one Estonian village.
 
There might be a significant number of East German security personnel in a Turkish People's Republic... (How you get that without a World War III I don't know.)
If Turkey does end up communist (let’s say they joined the axis in WWII and were occupied by the USSR afterward) is it possible that a population exchange might occur similar to the OTL one between Czechoslovakia and Vietnam? There are still a lot of Vietnamese people in Czechia as a result of this policy, so it’s possible that Turkey could end up keeping a large German population.
