German victory on Eastern Front. Impact on Western Front?

Say by 42 or 43 that Germany defeats the Soviets how would the Western Front play out?

D-Day happens of course, any impact on that? I still think the Allies would succeed to be honest but what about the rest of the battles on the Western Front? Battle of The Bulge, Market Garden etc.

Unless Barbarossa is launched earlier, the Nazis defeating the Soviets is next to impossible.

However, if Hitler was able to win in Stalingrad, take Moscow, and push the Soviets behind the Ural Mountains (by some miracle), then there is almost no point for D-Day. The UK and US will see that the Nazis have taken over an entire continent (sans Iberia and Italy w/ client states) and prepare to fight a solely defensive war if the Nazis decide to go on the offensive against the Western Allies.

Without a western front, the US and UK more than likely focus on Japan assuming nothing changed as a result of the Nazis "defeating" the Soviet Union. The Japanese will launch attacks into Siberia, however its success is undetermined. Either way, the Japanese will be forced to deal with more Brits and Americans in the Pacific.

After the Japanese are presumably defeated, the US and UK are forced into a Cold War against the continental Third Reich. I'm not sure if they would go to war at a later date (if Hitler lives much longer than OTL its very possible), but if there isn't, then the Nazis will probably collapse similarly to the Soviet Union iOTL.

That's just my (rushed) two cents.

CalBear's Anglo-American/Nazi War will give you one of the best possible answers on this board.

To cut a long story short, 190 million dead after a twenty-year war and brutal ground campaign in Europe.

After Japan is defeated, the State of the Soviet Union is debatable. They could have signed a peace or continue a guerilla war supplied by the States (Fatherland). The allies cannot rely on China, or arm the Japanese to fight the Germans or support the USSR (Or could they?). Either way, with the Americans restocking supplies and troops from the Pacific, they could maybe nit pick away at the Germans, such as invading islands in the Mediterranean and have Macarthur hit Norway. After that, I haven't a clue, probably nuke them.

Pretty much every alternate history I've read that deals with this and specifically has England still in the war by 1945 always has American B-29's/B-36's atomic bomb Germany to death in 46/47.

This has been discussed extensively in previous threads:

Also when you say the Soviets are "defeated" does this mean that the Reich now occupies all Soviet territory to the Urals like in AANW?

Well, if the Soviets are looseing in 1944 but not totally defeated I imagine the impact will be quite interesting. Hitler sending most of his troops to the Eastern Front, and so far from Germany, will have big problems once the landings occur in Italy and France. If Italy switches sides without any hiccups (maybe surviving Italo Balbo, or something) than I could see Germany being essentially screwed with troops so far East that they are so critically overstretched that they cannot adequately respond. The Eastern Front collapses like in WWI, the Soviet Union falls into civil War, ROA vs. different Soviet Factions. Independence and Partisan movements takes control of the SSRs, like the OUN for example. Maybe Valkyrie succeeds ITTL? Bringing about a confusing end to the war. With German and Soviet Civil Wars occurring, maybe an Italian one too.
