German-Russian-Japanese Alliance

It's not really that hard, after all the USSR and Germany were quasi-allies in 1940.
All you need is:
  • Hitler must die, and if possible be replaced by Goering, who apparently didn't quite like the idea of attacking the USSR, or some military clique that realizes that their strategic situation would only worsen if they did go to war with Stalin.
  • The Allies bomb Baku to stop oil shipments to Germany, send troops to Finland bia Norway and Sweden or both; these were plans the Allies considered in 1940 after all.
  • Then, all you need is Japan attacking the European colonies looking for a quick grab; if the Allies and/or China push too much north the Soviets may end up sending troops to help the Japanese in Manchuria.

The USSR co-operated with the Germans moving ships along their North coast enroute to Japan.

Nazi Germany was allied to Japan, and at the same time had a quasi-alliance with Russia.

Things change, and the USSR wouldn't need to have eternal bad relations with Japan if they delineated spheres of influence. China is enormous and if we are talking expansionism, then Japan already has Manchuria and the coast, while Russia could claim what is now Sinkiang, Kokonor, Tibet etc which would not cause any real trouble, especially as they already had a relationship with Mongolia.

What about the Chinese people?

it would require a series of dramatic changes to arrive at a Germany-USSR-Japan Axis? the USSR would be growing in strength, imposing increasingly unfavorable trade terms, and nibbling territories whenever possible?

somehow the Soviets need to blunder into conflict with Allies, solo invasion of Iran instead of historical Winter War? or some other atypical action(s)

one simple way to have the three in the Axis is for USSR to be defeated quickly and a Vichy-style regime established, not easy even if both Germany and Japan invaded but simple?

If the USSR is defeated then why would they want anything more than that? They're not allying after that because Germany would have won. A better way would probably be to actually have Germany be convinced to wait it out in its war against the Soviet Union, at least until the Western Allies were defeated or reached an armistice. Then, once the Axis won, it could lead its war against the Soviet Union.

my suggestion was for invasion of USSR to capture less territory but deliver more strike against their military, especially air force, and eliminate their naval forces in Far East , Baltic and Black Seas.

if Japan had been enlisted, they could close all the ports to outside trade (and aid.) to sign an agreement with successor to Stalin, although Hitler talked of keeping him as figurehead (?) so as to remove USSR as potential relief for UK?

A question I'd like to ask is what exactly happens to Italy in this scenario? Has it left the faction, and if so then why? What reason would it have to not be a part of this faction? Is it not fascist in this scenario?

Russia x Japan would be in the realm of ASB. They are not going to forget or forgive the Russo-Japanese War or that Japan tried to set up a government in Russia during the Russian Civil War in the Far Eastern Territories.

But the SU was not at war with Japan until war in Europe was over. Not only weren’t they at war but trade relations had been maintained and, IIRC, Japan had oil concession in the Northern Sakhalin. The SU was not looking for getting Port Arthur back and seemingly was not too interested in Korea. Japanese activities during the RCW were not too different from those of the US, Britain and France. So the differences were not completely irreconcilable.

Germany becomes communist and allies with USSR. At some point they go to war with Japan, swallow it and make it a puppet state.
