German Politicians in a continued Kaiserreich?

Deleted member 94680

As the header says, I was wondering who the leading politicians would be in an ATL where the Kaiserreich continued? The POD isn't too important (to my mind, at least) but it could be either a no-WWI world or one where WWI was significantly shorter. Mainly to avoid Germany going too far to the Right or being overly radicalised, I would say.

Who from OTL would still rise to prominence? Would the Centre Party and the Social Democrats still be the main two groupings?

Is the Kaiserreich feasible to continue, or would change and even a republican revolution be on the cards?

If any of my assumptions are incorrect or inaccurate, I welcome corrections and I hope to hear from someone with a deeper understanding of Wilhelmine party politics than I.

Look at the Weimar politicians, sans the Nazis (who might be part of other parties).

That's what I was trying to avoid. Weimar is very much a result of the defeat of Germany in WWI. I was trying to get to who would be prominent without Weimar.

The political continuity between the empire and the republic wasn't that all affected, to be honest. So, most political figures of Weimar will probably have similar stature ITTL. The political developments, though, would be different with no defeat, hyperinflation and stab in the back myth.

Did WW1 happen and did the von Hindenburg/ Ludendorf dictatorship form? Because if it did the big political issue post WW1 would be if the Reichstag can even get any power back, or if the military just decide to stay in charge.

Not all that effected? It went from a monarchy to a republic and all noble titles were abolished. There was limited two tier suffrage changed to universal suffrage. That's quite a big change for a nation that was practically feudal before WWI. The lack of thresholds in the proportional representation system allowed minority parties to take hold. The Kaiserreich had none of this. Minority politicians would be forced to the fringes of mainstream parties or made to tone down their positions to gain votes. The war radicalised "normal" nationalist politicians, without which would they find a home in the Centre party or such?

I would say not in a short- or no war scenario.
