What if we assume that Poland is still officially under Czarist control?
The Austrian Empire looses Galicia to Russia (and possibly more territories to Hungary and Italy), but it's regime remains intact, preventing Großdeutschland. Then a Polish uprising is successful enough to force some sort of self-government or an Austria-Hungary-type Ausgleich.
That scenario makes Germany Anti-Polish, both because they don't want to annoy their powerful neighbour Russia and because they don't want territorial claims for Posen.
In that case, no further foreign interventions are needed.
