German Nuclear Missile

Most powerful nation on earth with it's entire economy seemingly made to advance the military. hmmmm sounds like America is a little closer to Nazi Germany than they think.

But seriously. Impossible things happen all the time.

Comparing a modern day democracy that isn't perfect to Nazi Germany?

And by definition, if it happened, it wasn't impossible. If it seems impossible, the most common explanation is a lack of knowledge on every variable. When it comes to World War II, we know most of the variables and actors in place to influence events.

It's not impossible to have a German state that identifies itself as national socialist to construct nuclear weapons. What's impossible (or so close as to make no practical difference) is to have a state that we would recognise as Nazi to do so.

Literally anything since the handwave auto writer is out of the holster.

My guess is that the Cloverfield monster appears in Berlin and eats Hitler and his evil minions. This causes a lethal allergic reaction for the poor creature and the monster flops over and crushes the Reichstag in its tragic death throes.

You can't just hand wave two damned near impossible events into OTL and actually expect reality.

True, but it's a useful exercise to demonstrate just why it's unrealistic. The results are applicable to other scenarios as well. If we can get the OP and others to put a little extra thought and research into their scenarios before posting them we will all benefit from that.

Does anyone happen to know the capabilities of the A9/A10 America Rocket. I think I saw it was something like 10,000 pounds or something.

Besides if the Nazis did create nuclear weapons. They wouldn't be making them smaller to fit on ICBMs they'd be making the ICBMs bigger to fly their growing weapons. You'll probably have a Tsar Bomb by 1950.
Or something! The A9/A10 had a planned payload of 1000kg, including pilot. The Tsar Bomba weighed 27t and was 8M long and 2.1M wide--the A9 upper stage would have been 1.6M in diameter and the Russians didn't make one until 1961.
Although the A9/A10 had a planned range of 5000km there was no suitable guidance system in the 1940s, although radio guidance was planned it would have required transmitters near the target site.
Von Braun also had a design for a space station, a space shuttle, a Mars rocket and an orbital mirror array to zap ground targets in his sketchbook. He didn't build any of those either.
