As of recently I've gained a bit of an interest in Imperial German influence in Mexico prior to and during World War One. While I understand that Germany was most interested in attempting to get Mexican aggression to distract the US from the war in Europe I find it plausible that positive German-Mexican relations continue after a Central Powers victory. Could this German sphere of influence expand elsewhere in the Americas? Obviously the United States (which would be neutral in WEI in such a scenario) wouldn't like to have a German ally just to their south, which would violate the Monroe Doctrine, so how does the US retaliate. I personally enjoy the idea of the WWII of this scenario being primarily fought in the Americas between a German-led coalition and an American-led coalition.

If Germany has any sense of diplomacy then they would stay out of the Americas in order to avoid provoking the United States. Then again, Kaiser Wilhelm wasn't known for his diplomatic tact.

Germany has more than enough pots to mind MUCH closer to home (In the Balkans and Eastern Europe, in particular) to be able to project sufficent power into the Western Hemisphere to challenge America, to say nothing of British commerical interests in the area. I can certainly see some level of outreach, but it woulden't be serious or to an extent that it would threaten the US hegemony in the Western Hemisphere... not even close to pulling together a coalition of Latin American states under her leadership. To do so would be to suck a whole bunch of resources and political capital away from the actually established and strategically vital areas of German domination.

A German hegemon in Europe (with more Septemberprogramm kind of annexations and satellites) might take Dutch colonies? German Guiana or Deutsch Surinam, for example. Maybe nothing that far, but a Deutsch Guiana Companie? Expanding influence in South America or even some kind of attempt to reestablish a colony on the sight of Prussian South America? The Kaiser demands the return of St Thomas Island!

What does the Monroe doctrine say about economic expansion? Its one thing to physically resist the stationing of European troops in Mexico at the risk of war. Its another entirely to attempt this when a German company sets up a shipyard.to maintain the warships of a south American navy, or maintenance facilities for artillery exports. What if German experts were bought in reorganize the military of a south American country, like the military mission in the ottoman empire, would that trigger the Monroe doctrine?

There Cultural links with chile will not cut down and if chile invited germans for military missions i doubt gringos would care that much

Oh, some of them thought about acquiring the one or other colony in the Caribbean. They probably never heard of the Monroe Doctrine.

Some of the border disputes in the Americas could take longer to resolve due to competing great power patronage and general proxy war nonsense. But other than prestige/nationalist grandstanding, I'm not sure what Germany would gain by intervening in the Ecuador-Peru, Peru-Colombia, or Bolivia-Paraguay border disputes. The Chaco War may become bloodier and drag on longer with German "advisors" and more weapons sales one side or the either.
Outside of the Americas, this would have interesting unintended consequences for the Chinese Civil War era. If OTL Weimar's close military partnership with the Kuomintang continued, east asia could become a more tangled geopolitical landscape .

Strictly speaking that's well within the Doctrine, though i think alot would depend on just how government-directed the commercial expansion appeared. One key factor is the Roosevelt Corilary, which basically says that the US would carry the obligation of enforcing European financial claims in the Western Hemisphere, and large scale military reform tends to produce lots of debt. Basing rights would be highly controversial as well?

The possibility of the Germans building warships for South American powers is something to ponder. After all, they were desperate to ape the British in all aspects of naval power, so why not AG Weser or someone building ships for Chile or Argentina, allowing the SA nations to avoid British monopoly on their contracts?

The Americans (and British) won't like increased German competition economically in Central/South America, and will do what they can to hobble it, but it won't set off a diplomatic crisis with the USA. Transfer of French or other possessions in the western hemisphere to Germany is a no-no under the Monroe Doctrine, the US would simply not tolerate that and if need be would take over whatever was going to be transferred, possibly buying them from the French. If the Germans built up port facilities in Mexico and were having ships repaired there, frequent port calls to the extent of supporting a permanent naval presence that also would set of alarm bells. Sales of German arms to Mexico or Central/South America would be of concern to the extent they built up land or sea forces to the extent they could be a real nuisance/threat to the USA especially in Mexico.

The assumption here is that the CP victory occurs before the USA has joined the war, if the CP victory is after the USA is in, and the USA is one of the "defeated" powers that changes things however that scenario is pretty ASB.
