Georgian Gold Rush 1774

So I'm thinking of writing a timeline where gold is discovered in Georgia in 1774, and I'm looking for some constructive criticism on soe of my ideas.

1. When gold is discovered word quickly spreads across Europe attracting manymen of talent to the southern colonies(Von Stueben for one).
2. Britain attempts to sieze control of the mines and stop Americans from coining their own money, this leads to a much more united American resistence(loyalists in the south lose out)
3. Americans able to finance their war effort better, less foreign debt, southern colonies bank roll war effort.

Any thoughts:)

I think 1774 is to close to the outbreak of the ARW to make any real difference in the pre ARW year

Georgia had only Legalized Slavery in 1756. So you are not even 2 decades into transforming Georgia into a Slave state.
Most of the Opposition was in the North/Western parts of the state, And that just happens to be were the Gold is. [Pro Slavery was Concentrated in the Coastal Rice and Tobacco Areas]
A large influx of Non Slavery types may end with Georgia's Western Territory, breaking away to form a Free State.
