George Washington's older half brothers survived

George Washington had two older half brothers, Lawarance and Augustine Washington, from their father's first marriage.

After their father's death they became father figures for their younger half siblings, Lawarance moreso than Augustine. Lawarance and George were particularly close and Lawarance took George on the only trip he made outside what would become The United States. George purchased Mount Vernon from Lawarance's widdow in 1752.

Lawarance and Augustine both died fairly young. Longevity it seems was not a Washington family trait.

But what if Lawarance and Augustine had both lived at least into their eighties? What further influence would either of them had on George, including in his adult years?

What role if any would either Lawarance or Augustine have had in The American Revolution?

Hmmm...obvioulsy whichever elder survivor of the two becomes head of household and claims all the spoils of the family. George might likely go military anyway in an attempt to make a name for himself (even more critical now without the first born advantage). He was a social climber by nature, so he's looking for any leg up he can find. I'd have to know more about the two half bros to make a guess on their lot, but the SOP for Landed Gentry in VA was to set themselves up as casual renaissance men of leisure with all the proper gadgets and decor and a mountain of debt. George was an oddball for actually caring about things like finance and balanced checkbooks.
