George W Bush assassinated in 2005

What if George W Bush was assassinated on 10 May, 2005 by Vladimir Arutyunian? IOTL, Arutyunian threw a grenade at Bush while he was speaking with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili but the handkerchief remained wrapped around the grenade so it didn't detonate and the grenade hit a girl, cushioning the impact. What if the grenade instead hit Bush and detonated, killing both Bush and Saakashvili along with some bystanders? How would the assassination of Bush in 2005 effect history? What would Bush's legacy be like TTL? Since Saakashvili is probably killed too, how would Georgia be effected? What would be the effects of Dick Cheney being President and serving out the rest of Bush's term? Cheney would very likely not run in 2008, but how owuld the 2008 election be effected by him being President(and maybe he picks a Republican who could have presidential ambitions as his VP)? What would be the other effects of Bush's assassination and a Cheney presidency? What if?

Honestly, we have President Cheney who will probably bomb Iran once it's new President gets into office and starts his death to Israel stick and increases support to special groups in Iraq attacking U.S. troops.

Bush misses out on his finest hours of his Presidency during the economic crisis and when changing military strategy in Iraq, but PR wise ends up more popular in the near term not that it's useful to you when you are dead.

I don't think President Cheney can get Congressional approval for bombing Iran. He desire to do so pulls down his popularity. Does he run in 2008? He might get the same advice Gerald Ford got: you have to run to be taken seriously. If so, he loses worse than McCain did OTL. I also think McCain is probably Vice President.
