George II dies in 1760 after Hanover falls

All,

Assume that Hanover falls in 1760 to a French army, after Canada and Bengal have fallen to Great Britain. George II dies of shock after discovering his beloved homeland had been taken for a second time.

Two years earlier, his son, the Duke of Cumberland, had been defeated and signed an armistace saving the army but allowing occupation of the Duchy while France and her allies rip apart Great Britain's ally, Prussia.

Livid, George II revoked the treaty and gave command to the Duke of Brunswick, whom kept French troops off of Frederick II's western flank.

1. Assume the Duke lost and all/most of Hanover fell again in 1760 after Great Britain's great victories of 1759.
2. Assume Frederick fell with another army to face to the West.
3. Assume Great Britain had not gotten around to conquering most of the French colonies in India or the valuable sugar islands of the West Indies (Guadeloupe, Martinique, etc).
4. Assume Spain has not entered the war at all, so no Battle of Havana.
5. Assume everyone involved is broke by 1760.

George III takes over a year early. Having "gloried in the name of Great Britain", does he make any attempt to get Hanover back in the peace (meaning trade back Canada, so some Indian trading fort)?

Much of Great Britain thought Hanover a drain of resources and would not want to give up prize Britain conquered for their King's "other domain" over which they held no sway.

What would Parliament, led by Newcastle/Pitt or someone else (Bute), deal with the early peace?

What would happen to Hanover? Who gets it?

Prussia would need to march in to stem the tide from France. But then a wild Russia would appear and ruin all that. Austria would bring the heat too. As to who would acquire Hannover, it's purely academic with Prussia pressured from the east and south. George III would try to retake it but you can bet the French would bolster their defenses in the entire region.

My assumption is that Hanover falls to France and then the French march east to help Russia and Austria rip apart Prussia (Maria Theresa gets Silesia back, some other bits and pieces go to Russia, Saxony, Mechlenburg, etc, etc).

My other assumption is that France would be able to leave a large enough garrison to stave off any invasion by Britain, assuming anyone in Britain wants to use resources for that purpose. I doubt a nineteen year old George III would. Note that a severe defeat in Germany may cause a London Financial meltdown.
