Or maybe close friend and Nevada senator Paul Laxalt.
I am sorry, I didn't know who he was.

I meant George. Anyway, the only VP I can think for Reagan is Dole.
Paul Laxalt was a good personal friend of Ronald Reagan. He was Governor of Nevada from 1967 to 1971 and was senator of that state from 1975 to 1987. He was Reagan's first choice for VP in 1980 but instead he choose Bush. In hindsight maybe he should have picked Laxalt.I am sorry, I didn't know who he was.

In this ATL Neil never got involved in big oil or had anything to do with the S & L fiasco. Right after graduating from college in the 1970's his older brother George helped get him a job down in Wall Street specifically in banking. He eventually joined Citicorp and worked his way up the ladder to upper middle management and by the end of 1990 he made to the position department VP. In January 1991 he bacame State Treasurer for Connecticut under Governor Lowell Weicker. And four years later was made State Comptroller by his brother Governor George W.What about Neil Bush?
He is considered the "most charming" of the Bush brothers. If dad doesn’t move to Texas then Neil will not get involved in oil or in Silverado or in the Savings & Loan Crisis. It was the S&L Crisis that torpedoed Neil’s political ambitions.
