Tocharians,as we all know, were a Early Bronze age peoples who migrated from the Yamnaya Culture of the Proto-Indo-Europeans to the East leaving Afanasevo culture in Kazakhstan and finally settling as Tocharians in the Tarim Basin.
In this timeline,we will make a Tocharian Chinese civilization with a POD like a larger, agricultural Afanasevo culture advancing to a good extent so now these people can migrate earlier to the Yangtze and Yellow river regions and start civilizations and absord the other East Asian natives there into this growing civilization. Tarim Basin,Kazakhstan, parts of Kyrgyzstan fall under the Tocharian sphere as they were in OTL but here they are influenced more by the Tocharian Chinese civilization and like the Romans taking in the other Italic Peoples like the Dalmatians, these people are now a part of this Empire. A lot of Indo-Iranian people(Aryans,Iranians,Nuristani) are influenced after the larger and more influenced Andronavo culture and enter and join the empire too as do Tocharian influences spread among them and Indo-Iranian influences spread among the Tocharians. Lot of Nomadic people Tocharian and Iranian confederations like the Wusun,Yuezhi,Khotanese,Saka join this large civilization later and so do Indo-Aryan Dards who become a larger and more influential than OTL population using the trade networks between India and this empire. But later Dardic plus mainland Indo-Aryan settlement and influences spread into Tocharian and Iranian regions and so do Iranian and Tocharian influences and settlenents into India. Parts of Northern Indian subcontinent are heavily influenced in all ways too with a stronger version of the Kushan Empire and vice versa from India through the adoption of Buddhism and Vedic elements into the Tocharian religion as OTL with the Tocharian subsets, the Yuezhi/Kushan. Persia too is influenced to a good extent. Tocharian and Indo-Iranian core regions have people looking in the Frenchmen(SouthWest Central European) to Ossetian range. Core Tocharian regions have majority looking Northern and Celtic European type. People in Northern and most of Central India fall in the range of Southern European to Iranian/Afghan range as in the other thread by an another member. IVC gets an earlier Tocharian influence and that languages survive in small pockets.
Now for religions. Hinduism,Buddhism,Vedic-Tocharian-Iranian syncretic religion (like the Kushans),Zoroastrianism(mostly in the Sogdia regions and the borders of the Iranian territories settled by Iranian peoples) are the four largest religions and would amount to 50-70% of the region. All these four are almost viewed as one religion due to the closeness by the inhabitants. Byzantine/Russian Orthodox Church forms a good 20+% around the borders of the Slavic dominions which will go on as OTL. Nestorianism is practiced in the more mountain and valley regions and forms around 5%. Tengrist and Shamanist religions form around 2-3%. Greek Paganism survives in the Western territories and forms around 5%.
India is closely related with this civilizations and Human, religious and philosophical exchanges between them is very close and common. Iranian Persia is quite close too. You now have China,West Central Asia,Indian subcontinent in one sphere of influence.
How would be the effects of this Geopolitical situation to the Medieval,Renaissance and the Modern Eras as per you?
