Galician oil reserves?

I've always heard that there were oil reserves in the Galician region. However, I've never been able to find any information on them-when they started being exploited, how big they were, when (or if) they peaked, ETC. Does anyone know about Galician oil and/or have sources on the topic?

Which Galicia do you mean? There's the Galicia in north-western Spain or the Galicia region in eastern Europe between Poland and Ukraine, I'm assuming the former but just wanted to double check.

Edit: Erich von Changstein gets in before me. :)

At the peak, they were about 10% of the world oil production, which was much, much lower than now.
