Gaging Interest In A British Radio TL?

Hi all,
I'm not sure whether anyone has attempted to do this before, but I'd be interested in your opinions.

I've been thinking of writing a TL based on British Radio in the Mid 90's, stemming from a change at the top at the BBC in 1993. I have a rough outline of the TL in my head, but my main question at this stage would be whether anyone would be interested in reading it?

There will be changes in the Music industry as well as British Television viewing, American Radio and some radical political changes, all resulting from a Pod within BBC radio.

The main thrust of the TL will be the changes within the British Radio industry however, in terms of programming, presentation, music polecy, variety in general, management and the development of DAB/Internet Radio.

So, let me know what you think, if enough people are interested, I'll write the TL, if not, I won't-simple as that!

Don't. Just don't. Never ask for interest.

The only person that matters here is you. You will be the person doing the research. You will be the person doing the work. You have no control over whether people read it. And frankly, most people, even if they do read it, will simply absorb it, digest it, and go on with their day. One in ten or one in a hundred might comment. One in a hundred or one in a thousand will say something useful. It's all on your shoulders.

The only reason to do a timeline is if you, yourself, find the subject interesting and challenging and want to explore it.

So if this grabs you. Go for it. Do it and don't look over your shoulder.

If it makes you happy to write, then do it. Even if there aren't a lot of comments it's a great learning experience to do a timeline.

Personally the radio part would go over my head (as long as Kermode still ends up reviewing movies I'm good), but I'd be interested in everything else. Dare I ask, early Doctor Who reboot?

Glad to see I've got some interest at least, I wanted to check mainly because I've never seen an Alternate History based primarily in British radio. Well I think I'm gonna do this, hopefully the first update (with the Pod detailed) should be up in the first few days.

Electric Munk-Kermode will feature in this TL, at the time of the Pod he was a regular on "the old radio 5" doing the odd movie review, along with a music show believe it or not.

His career though is pretty simelar to OTL, at least inicially.

Re the DR Who Reboot-I've got plans for that, but that's quite a way away yet.

Pop culture ones are rare, but experiencing a minor boom. I imagine radio falls under similar-ish things to what other ones are doing.

The BBC archives online are terrible, and I can't find anything as good as the Just A Minute fan archives for Kermode so although I did know Kermode was around in 1993 (if barely) I've never heard anything from that era.
